Cape Medical Supply Announces Formation of Memorial Foundation
Cape Medical Supply is pleased to announce the formation of a memorial foundation to honor company co-founder Mark Sheehan, who passed away April 2, 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer. The foundation, called The Cape Medical Supply Mark Sheehan Memorial Foundation, will address community needs with special focus on end of life care and cancer support services.
"Mark and I were newlyweds when we arrived on the Cape and started Cape Medical Supply in 1977,” comments Cape Medical Supply co-founder, Nancy Sheehan. “We always strived to express our appreciation to staff members who have committed decades of service as well as the community that embraced and supported our entrepreneurial endeavor…this foundation simply cements that legacy and we hope it will have a lasting impact on the organizations Mark supported throughout his career.”

The foundation will be professionally managed in partnership with the Cape Cod Foundation. The foundation is in the early stages of enhancing their governance and leadership structure, as well as planning some exciting events for 2010.
