Cape Medical Supply Catches Team Members in the Act of Excellence
Cape Medical Supply has initiated a new program to support and reward team members for their efforts in supporting our mission to provide the highest levels of service and care possible. The internal memo below was released to staff members and the “catching” has begun. Cape Medical Supply continues to look for innovative and authentic ways to enhance service levels, celebrate successes and strengthen the team of professionals they have in place; this is one small and entertaining way to do so.
Since 1977 we have worked hard every day to be an excellent company. We have always aspired to be something much more than average and we acknowledge that the status quo is not acceptable if we are to succeed.
We know there are people who go the extra mile every day, doing things well above and beyond their responsibility to ensure those folks we have the pleasure of servicing are taken care of in the manner we would want to be taken care of and with the sense of urgency we would expect were we to have a situation which merited the services or equipment we provide.
What we want to do is to begin “Catching” one another “in the act of excellence.”
We see things every day, actions taken by our fellow team members which have a profoundly positive impact on our reputation, performance and those people we provide services to. Let’s stand up and celebrate that level of effort, call attention to the behaviors we want to see more of, and reward those people who go the extra mile for our company and our customers.
What is an act of Excellence?
Excellence truly is in the eye of the beholder…but if you see something done by a fellow team member, no matter their department, tenure or title, you should fill out the attached form and make sure they get “Caught in the Act of Excellence.” Team members will be rewarded for their behaviors, with rewards ranging from a simple acknowledgment in a performance review, to paid time off, merchandise, gift cards etc. We will review every submission on the merit of the act of excellence, paying particular attention to the result of the activity and how it represented our Mission, Vision and Values.
We should all aspire to be “Caught in the Act of Excellence” and to do so we must go the extra mile as part of our normal work activities; every day working hard to provide the highest levels of service and care possible, not only to our customers but to one another – we are a team and the fastest way for our team to succeed is for each of us to do our job to the very best of our abilities, and do so with a positive, can-do attitude.
I look forward to seeing people get “Caught in the Act of Excellence” and to personally catching people in the act of excellence. The form will be posted in “CMS DOCS” and you are free to make some copies to ensure you have them handy when you hear about or see another employee demonstrating excellence. We will also post all forms handed in for all to see the types of excellence their co-workers are demonstrating.
