Cape Medical Supply Supports Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod’s Annual Fundraising Auction
Cape Medical Supply is proud to announce their sponsorship of the 2009 Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod Evening by the Sea Auction. This was the 22nd year for the Evening by the Sea auction, a critical funding mechanism for the local non-profit hospice organization, and Cape Medical Supply is proud to have been involved since the very beginning.
“The staff and volunteers of Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod continue to do amazing work in our community,” commented CEO Gary Sheehan. “Every day they are working with individuals and families in the region to enhance the end of life care available to them – it is our great pleasure and honor to support that work. Founded in 1981, Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod is the area’s first and only independent non-profit organization offering hospice services. With a staff of over 100 and over 200 trained volunteers, Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod provides services to over 800 patients per year, most of whom are provided services in the privacy and comfort of their own home. Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod also provides services at the McCarthy Care Center, the Cape’s only hospice in-patient unit, and one of only three in the state of MA.
