Cape Medical Supply CEO Honored as New England Medical Equipment Dealers (NEMED) Member of the Year
NEMED has honored Cape Medical Supply CEO Gary Sheehan as their 2009 Member of the Year for his industry advocacy and pro-active approach towards addressing the issues and decision makers who are shaping the healthcare reform debate. The award was given on June 25 at the NEMED Annual Meeting, in Hyannis, MA.

During a year with so much uncertainty regarding the future of healthcare in the United States, Mr. Sheehan was honored for going the extra mile to ensure that the strength and value of homecare is represented. He has travelled to Washington DC three times since February to meet with legislators and additionally attended and spoke at a White House Forum on Health Reform in Burlington, VT and to Governor Patrick and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius at an event in Boston.
About NEMED: The New England Medical Equipment Dealers Association (NEMED) is a regional association consisting of the six New England states. Founded in 1988, NEMED's broad membership works together supporting the common goals and interests of the Home Medical Equipment, Respiratory, and Assistive Technology industry.
About the Award: This award is presented each year at the NEMED annual meeting to a NEMED Member (individual or company) who promoted the interests of the home medical equipment, rehab-assistive technology, respiratory or infusion industry through one or more of the following: grassroots lobbying, sponsoring local events to educate consumers i.e. health fairs, open houses etc., regular attendance at NEMED education programs or participation in a NEMED committee.
