Helping Where We Can
Published on 04/28/11 09:26AM by Gary Sheehan I pull this directly from the monthly newsletter of the "Cape Cod COPD Support Group," a wonderful resource for those dealing with COPD on Cape Cod. It is an extremely well run group that continues to deliver a supportive environment for attendees and delivers excellent educational content, as you can see below; "Believe me - driving up to Orleans in a driving rain storm was the last thing I wanted to do on meeting day but we did it and did it pay off!!! Our speaker was Paul Collard, RRT, from Cape Medical Supply. He had all 21 members who braved the weather mesmerized while he spoke "mucus" among other things. For 41 years he has made "mucus my life." We THANK him for all the good information and good answers to the many questions that were asked. We are also THANKFUL to Kevin Gallagher from Cape Medical Supply who suggested him for a speaker. Hopefully, we can have him back on a better weather day!" We are very fortunate here at Cape Medical Supply to have a wonderful team in place and our patients are also fortunate to have some wonderful groups and support systems in place across the region to help them connect with others suffering from similar diagnosis and receive supplemental education about how to best cope with their issues. We do our very best to post health support group meetings on our website, if you are aware of any please don't hesitate to email the information to info@capemedical.net and we will be sure to post it. Kudos to Kevin and Paul for their continuing work with the Cape Cod COPD Support Group and a huge thanks to that entire group for the work they do helping our patients lead better lives in the community!Comments
