Boston...Here We Come!

Today Cape Medical Supply announced our latest expansion, a state of the art 5,000 square foot distribution and patient service center in Canton, MA. From this center Cape Medical Supply will service Greater Boston, as well as Eastern and Central MA with the same products and level of service we are so well known for across Southeastern MA.

Our entire staff is very excited about this new development, as are numerous of our professional healthcare partners across MA who have long relied on us for services in our current region and are thrilled to be able to call on us for patients across a much larger service area from here forward. We remain mired in a very tricky economy as well as a thorny time for those of us providing healthcare equipment and services…however we have long demonstrated that we are committed to growth and we feel this new center will open up substantial new opportunities for Cape Medical Supply as well as the patients and healthcare professionals we can now serve.

Quality service remains the cornerstone of our business, our mission is anchored by the phrase, “our singular focus is on providing the highest levels of service and care possible.” Today we extend that mission and dedicate more resources and investment than ever to ensure it is a reality for thousands of new patients across MA. Over the last several years we have had several inquiries and opportunities to service accounts and individuals who are in the new service territory, but our analysis showed us that we could not deliver the appropriate level of service to those individuals with our then current operational configuration…not many people do this, the less principled company would say yes to everything and worry about the details or failure to deliver later on…but then again, there is a reason they were reaching out to us to begin with and it’s not because we had proven to be poor partners in the past.

So, these are exciting and fast times for the 50+ people here at Cape Medical Supply – we’re having a tremendous amount of fun and continue to reinvest a tremendous amount of time and money in our future, a future that despite the current industry storm clouds, we think remains bright. The desire for strong service partners is something which knows no geographic boundaries and we are so happy to be servicing a much larger territory now, bringing our special brand of service and responsiveness to thousands of new patients in a special part of our state.

At our internal meeting to announce the expansion we slid the Dropkick Murphy’s song “Shipping up to Boston” into the Powerpoint presentation…it was fun and it got people excited. We’re all ready to head up to the new territory, our team ready to join some other great Boston teams, like the Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins, in a great American city, filled with history, art, culture, and excitement…keep an eye out for those classic Cape Medical Supply trucks the next time you’re in Boston, you just might see us doing the only thing we know how to do, provide the highest level of service and care possible to patients and professionals requiring home medical equipment and respiratory care.
