Fundraising Follow-Up
Published on 07/26/10 06:46PM by Gary SheehanBack in June I wrote about how the Cape Medical Supply team had come together to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds. Through individual and collective efforts our two teams raised just over $5,500 for the American Cancer Society!
The event itself was very meaningful for all who participated, but the lead-up to the event, and the collective efforts put in by so many teammates here at Cape Medical Supply were equally special to watch. The folks here viewed it as a challenge or competition, and they rose to the challenge in a major way. Our Activities Committee lead the way, planning special events like a silent auction and community yard sale, both of which raised substantial sums of money. Coming together to meet a challenge is what we do every day in business, to see these efforts pointed at raising money for a non-profit was wonderful and I think everyone here who participated felt a sense of pride and success, especially when their efforts raised such a substantial sum of money for such a worthy cause.
Cape Medical Supply continues to be deeply involved in the non-profit community, with our next efforts being directed at putting on a very special golf event for The Cape Medical Supply Mark Sheehan Memorial Foundation, this October at the New Seabury Country Club.
Details and registration information for the event can be found here.
We take our day to day responsibility of providing the highest level of service and care possible very seriously, but we also place great importance on giving back to the communities who have given so much to us and who still need so much to succeed. We continue to work hard to meet the challenges the current economic environment presents us and also look for opportunities to come together and give back. Success at Cape Medical Supply is about more than growing revenue or profits, its about working for a company that places importance on community, provides valuable service, and gives back, every single day.
We’re very busy, but we’re having a lot of fun and have many new things to share with you in the coming months…keep your eyes and ears open, as we are very excited about what’s to come!
